- 1-inch cinnamon stick
- 4-5 cloves
- 4-5 black peppercorns
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

Dry roast grated coconut, red chilies, ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, poppy seeds, fennel seeds, cinnamon, cloves, and black peppercorns until aromatic. Grind to a fine paste with a little water.
