INGREDIENTS FOR CHICKEN MASALA

  • 1 packet – Zorabian Pre-cut chicken of 500 grams
  • Two large onions sliced very thinly
  • Two large tomatoes also sliced very thinly
  • Two huge green chillies, slit lengthwise
  • Curry leaves, approximately one handful
  • Ginger-garlic paste, two tablespoons
  • Chilli Powder, two tablespoons
  • Coriander Powder, approximately two tablespoons
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, also known as manjal podi
  • 2 teaspoons of garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin powder, also known as jeera podi
  • Salt to taste
  • Two tablespoons of oil
  • Three tablespoons of coriander leaves, freshly chopped

For Grinding:

  • Fresh Coconut – one-half cup grated
  • Poppy Seeds / Khus Khus / Kasa Kasa – Two tablespoons
  • Cinnamon Stick / Pattai – one-fourth of an inch piece
  • 1 tablespoon of Fennel Seeds also known as Saunf

HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN MASALA

  1. Put the components for the grinding into a blender and process them until they form a smooth purée. Set away till usage.
