  • Pre-Cut Chicken Skinless – 1 Packet (500 grams)
  • Basmati rice – 2 cups, soaked
  • Onions – 3, sliced
  • Tomatoes – 2, chopped
  • Green chilies – 4-5, slit
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Biryani masala – 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Curd – 1/2 cup
  • Mint leaves a handful
  • Coriander leaves a handful
  • Ghee – 3 tbsp
  • Cooking oil – 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Water – 4 cups

Cooking Instructions for Andhra Style Chicken Biryani:

  1. Marinate chicken with biryani masala, red chili powder, turmeric, ginger-garlic paste, and curd. Set aside.
  2. In a large pot, heat oil and ghee. Add sliced onions; sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add tomatoes, green chilies, mint leaves, and coriander leaves. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
  4. Add marinated chicken. Cook until the chicken is browned and the masala is well blended.
  5. Add soaked rice, salt, and water. Bring to a boil, then simmer until rice is 70% cooked.
  6. In a separate pan, heat ghee. Layer half-cooked rice over the chicken mixture. Sprinkle biryani masala.
  7. Cover and cook on low heat until the rice is fully cooked and aromatic. Garnish with fried onions.
  8. Serve hot, savoring the rich aroma and flavors of Andhra Style Chicken Biryani.
