Ingredients

  • 1 Packet – Zorabian Pre Cut Chicken (900 grams)
  • – 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • – 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  • – 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • – 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • – 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • – 2 pieces Cardamom
  • – 1 big Cinnamon
  • – 3 to 4 Elaichi
  • – 1.5 tbsp Ghee
  • – ½ tbsp Dry Fenugreek Leaves
  • – 2 whole big Medium Chopped Onions
  • – 1 big Tomato Chopped
  • – 2 cups Beaten Curd
  • – 3 tbsp Fresh Cream
  • – Salt to taste
  • – Coriander Leaves for Garnishing
  • – Boiled Egg for Garnishing

Cooking Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Marinate the chicken with half the beaten curd, salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, and turmeric powder. It is best to use the fresh pre-cut skinless chicken from Zorabian Foods for the perfect Punjabi dishes.
  2. Heat Oil and Prepare the Base: Heat oil in a large pan. Add the whole spices and wait until it releases its aroma.
  3. Add Onion and Ginger Garlic Paste: Add the chopped onion along with the ginger garlic paste and let it cook for a couple of minutes.
  4. Add Tomatoes and Spices: Once the onion starts turning brown, you can add the chopped tomatoes and let them cook. Add the remaining spices and fry till the raw smell is gone. You can add a bit of water in batches to ensure that the spices do not burn.
  5. Add Marinated Chicken: When the oil begins to separate from the mixture, add your marinated chicken and cook well. You can also add the beaten curd and keep on stirring so that the curd does not split. Cover the pan and let the chicken cook.
  6. Finish with Ghee and Dry Fenugreek: It was once done simply by adding the ghee and dry fenugreek leaves. This will help you get an amazing smell. You can also add the garam masala.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Turn the gas off and add the fresh cream so that the cream does not curdle. Garnish with some coriander leaves and serve hot.
